SUBSTANCE: monochromator has row of diffraction elements, for example, in the form of crystals or man-made multilayer structures placed in sequence and aids turning mentioned elements with regard to their own axes of rotation. Surface of at least one diffraction element has row of parallel slits. There is provided possibility of orientation of abovementioned row of parallel slits perpendicular to own axis of rotation of diffraction element.
